About The White-Scott-Judd-Davie Family
Thank you for visiting - my name is Flo White. I hope that you will find
something helpful, and I would be grateful if you can advise me of any errors,
or if you can help fill in some gaps.

Most of the names contained in this site are the ancestors, descendants and
extended families of the grandparents of my husband Ron, namely .....

John and Mary (Culmer) White from Broadstairs in Kent (and specifically their
great-great-great-grandson Percival White, who was born in 1859 in Portsmouth)
and

William and Lucy (Byerley) Scott from Rhymney in Monmouthshire (and their
daughter Clara Scott, born about 1861 in Wales) and

John and Rebecca (Pool) Judd from Stepney in London and later from Hackney
in Middlesex (and their great-grandson Arthur Richard Judd, born 1872 in
Cheltenham, Victoria AUS) and

John and Mary (Tough) Davie from Leslie in Aberdeen in Scotland (and their
granddaughter Williamina Elizabeth Davie, born 1875 in Cheltenham, Victoria)

Also, there are some details of "side-branches" of people who have married into
these four families.

I have included quite a number of so-far unconnected family groups. If you
know where they fit, please let me know - many thanks, in anticipation.

Some important notes -

1. Due to privacy legislation, living persons are not usually listed on this
site. If you want to see what details I have about any person whom you know to
exist in a particular family, please e-mail me (link as above) and I will
discuss your requirements, and I may give you the visitor password.

2. Death dates may not be exact. In order to show details of persons who are
deceased, I have recorded an unknown death date using either of two methods:
(a) where a birth date is known, the death date is reckoned to be 100 years
later, ie. a expected maximum lifespan; (b) where a birth year is not known
(????), the death date is listed as the year at the end of that or the next
century (xx00).

3. The notation "never married" usually means that I do not know the marriage
date.

Your assistance with any information regarding accurate birth, marriage and
death dates (and/or other details) would be most appreciated.

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthday and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
